Description

Keep steering input traveling cleanly to the wheels with this MOOG CHASSIS tie rod end, the QuickSteer EV80211 front inner unit, designed and tested to help restore steering and handling to their original performance. It fits many vehicles, among them the 2012 Ram 1500, the 2006-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 and the 2011-2013 Ram 2500. See the Buyer’s Guide tab for the full list and engine details.

The inner tie rod end is part of the steering linkage and carries steering motion out toward the wheel. This one is designed for OE fit and function and is made of forged alloy steel for durability. MOOG engineers test it throughout the design and development process.

  • Problem Solver® Gusher bearing: A metal-to-metal design adds strength and lets grease flow through the bearing surface to help reduce friction.
  • Absorbs impact: A Belleville preload washer helps eliminate spring bind and shattering during shock load.
  • Heat-treated ball studs: The studs are treated to match or exceed OE requirements. This is intended to inhibit premature failure and improve fatigue strength.
  • Easier installation: Wrench flats on the housing and stud make installation and alignment adjustment easier. A pre-applied thread locking compound is designed to resist self-loosening.

Signs this part may need replacing include loose or wandering steering, clunking when turning, and uneven tire wear. Diagnose the cause first. If a worn inner tie rod end is responsible, this replacement helps restore vehicle handling. A wheel alignment is recommended after installation.
