Description

Help keep every press of the pedal reaching the throttle with the Pioneer Accelerator Cable, part number CA-9127. It is a direct-fit replacement for the listed 2000-2002 Hyundai Accent applications. See the Buyer’s Guide tab for engine details.

An accelerator cable connects the accelerator pedal to the throttle. Pressing the pedal pulls the cable to open the throttle, and releasing the pedal lets the throttle return. Pioneer builds its cables as a quality replacement alternative, made to OE specs.

  • Steel inner cable: A durable steel core carries the pedal’s movement to the throttle.
  • Polymer outer housing: Shields the cable against corrosion and abrasion.
  • Built to OE specs: Manufactured to original-equipment specifications.

Depending on the application, Pioneer cables may come with common brackets, grommets and ends.

Signs that an accelerator cable may need replacing include:

  • A pedal that sticks, binds or is slow to return
  • Delayed or uneven throttle response
  • A frayed or kinked cable

These symptoms can have other causes, so diagnose the problem before you replace the cable. If a worn cable is the cause, CA-9127 replaces it.
