Description

Help restore your truck’s steering and handling with the MOOG ES3539 front inner tie rod end, a direct-fit replacement for the 2000-2001 Dodge Ram 1500, 2000-2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and 2000-2002 Dodge Ram 3500.

MOOG designs this inner tie rod end for OE fit and function, and its engineers test it throughout design and development. It is made of forged alloy steel for durability. Precision tolerances are intended to make installation and steering alignment straightforward.

  • Problem Solver® Gusher bearing: a metal-to-metal design adds strength and lets grease flow across the bearing surface to reduce friction and support long life.
  • Belleville preload washer: absorbs impact and helps prevent spring bind and shattering under shock loads.
  • Heat-treated ball studs: treated to match or exceed OE requirements to improve fatigue strength and inhibit premature failure.
  • Pressed-in cover plate: the patented plate seals out debris and minimizes looseness, which reduces bearing wear.
  • Greaseable socket and premium boot: fresh lubricant can flush out contaminants to reduce corrosion and wear, and the boot keeps contaminants out.

The inner tie rod end is the pivoting joint at the inner end of the tie rod, and it carries steering input through the linkage to the wheels. When it wears, the truck may show loose or wandering steering, extra play in the steering wheel, or uneven tire wear. Plan on a wheel alignment after installation.
