Description

Help keep your steering linkage properly supported with the Dorman – OE Solutions Idler Arm Bracket, part number IB90116RD, a rugged-duty assembly designed to maximize load absorption and durability on hard-working vehicles.

It fits many vehicles, among them the 1993-1999 Chevrolet C1500, 1993-1999 Chevrolet K1500 and 1995-2000 Chevrolet Tahoe, as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications. See the Buyer’s Guide tab for the full list and engine details.

This steering idler arm bracket helps support the steering linkage and pivots as the wheels are turned. Dorman builds it with:

  • Rugged-duty construction: the assembly carries features intended to maximize absorption and durability for hard-working vehicles.
  • Superior ball stud: a hardened ArmourGrade stud with a large, highly polished ball.
  • Greaseable integrated bearing: the serviceable IntegraFit bearing comes pre-loaded with I.C.E. synthetic grease.
  • Premium corrosion resistance: a WeatherShield external coating helps resist corrosion.

Signs an idler arm bracket may need replacing include excess play or looseness in the steering, wandering, clunking while turning, and uneven tire wear. Because these symptoms can have other causes, inspect the steering linkage before replacing parts, and have the alignment checked after installation.
