Description

Keep accurate coolant temperature data flowing to your engine’s ECU with the Beck/Arnley Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 158-1679. This sensor measures engine coolant temperature and relays that signal to the ECU, which uses it to manage fuel delivery, ignition timing, and cooling-fan operation. It’s an application-specific, direct-fit replacement for a wide range of Audi and Porsche models, including the 2017-2020 Audi A3 [L4-2.0L], 2017-2020 Audi A4 [L4-2.0L], 2016-2018 Audi A6 [L4-2.0L], 2019-2021 Audi Q8 [V6-3.0L], 2014-2018 Audi RS7 [V8-4.0L], 2017-2021 Porsche 911 [H6-3.0L], 2019-2021 Porsche Cayenne [V6-2.9L], and 2017-2021 Porsche Panamera [V6-2.9L] — see the Buyer’s Guide tab for the full list of 45 applications.

  • OE form, fit and function: designed as a direct replacement for the listed applications.
  • Made to exacting tolerances: for precise messaging to the ECU.
  • Corrosion-resistant terminals and coatings: constructed to withstand an engine environment.

Wiring harness and thread sealer are not included. Quantity varies by engine and application — some use a single sensor while others use more — so order the quantity your specific engine requires; sold individually. Made in Italy. If a failed coolant temperature sensor is the cause of erratic temperature readings, hard cold starts, or a related check-engine light, this replaces it.
